Received a call from this particular number, in addition to one from a 646 area code linked to New York, while this one’s from Chicago. They claimed I had been granted a loan. I firmly told them they ought to improve their English skills and cease contacting me, or I'd gladly pay them a visit so we could have a little chat in person. (I've even tracked down the addresses for both numbers and confirmed they're genuine). Haven't heard a peep from those nuisances since!

I suspect this is a dodgy caller. It's best to avoid picking up these sorts of calls. If it's something significant, they'll surely leave a voicemail. By answering, you’re essentially giving the automated system the green light that your number is valid, which will only lead to more incessant calls. Just let them ring and they’ll likely give up after a couple of attempts.

I received a rather surprising message claiming I've been approved for a loan, yet I haven’t even applied for one! They've asked me for my personal details, which seems quite odd to me.
