I picked up the phone only to be greeted by utter silence. My Motorola G Pure indicated that the caller was from a verified number, complete with a green tick, yet I decided to block them anyway. Given that I’ve been disabled for more than 22 years, I’m bombarded constantly by calls from dubious foreign scammers and telemarketers, who claim to be ringing from the States, along with those notorious scam havens like Russia, India, Thailand, the Philippines, Korea, Vietnam, and so forth. It’s disheartening to observe that American firms, such as Amazon and Wells Fargo, now Truist if I'm not mistaken, have opted for cost-cutting measures by employing individuals from or within the world’s rampant scam centres like India, which just adds to the frustration.
