I picked up the phone but there was absolutely no sound on the other end. My Motorola G Pure showed the number as verified with a green tick, but I still chose to block it. Being disabled for over 22 years, I mostly get calls from foreign scammers or telemarketers pretending to be local in the US, but the calls often actually originate from places like Russia, India, Thailand, the Philippines, Korea, Vietnam and more. It doesn’t help that big American companies like Amazon, Wells Fargo, and the bank formerly known as Suntrust (now Truist, I think) seem to hire staff from, or outsource to, countries known for scam calls like India and others. It’s just annoying and makes me stay cautious all the time.
