When I informed him that the owner was currently tied up on another call, Mr. Lucas flatly demanded to hold the line. I suggested he leave a contact number or a message, seeing as I couldn’t interrupt the owner’s conversation to relay his request. Much to my surprise, he replied, “Could you not just pop to his office and let him know I’m waiting?” At that point, I’d had enough and firmly asked him to provide his details, assuring him that the owner would return his call. He abruptly hung up on me, clearly miffed. Our business operates out of Texas, primarily servicing the Houston area and its environs, yet this number traced back to Georgia.
