Then she goes on saying she's authorised to collect for a creditor and hasn't had any contact from me. She warned if I don't act, this could escalate and even affect my social security number. She gave a number, 762-200-9417, saying I should call them or have my lawyer do it to sort things out. It sounded threatening, like they might even mess up my social security if I don’t respond.
