My mum keeps getting calls from this number all the time. Sometimes the person on the other end is completely silent, and other times they just hang up after saying goodbye in a really creepy way.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent saying he was from BT and that my computer was at risk from hackers. I pretended to go along with it just to see what he'd do next, but it was obvious it was a scam. When I asked him to show proof he was actually with BT, he suddenly went quiet and started stumbling over his words. This has happened to me three times already this week, each time from a different number.

I answered the phone and when the caller asked for me, I said it was me, but they just ended the call straight away.

Every evening, someone with an accent rings me claiming they’re from Medicare. I’ve told them they’re not legit and to quit bothering me, but they just keep on calling anyway.
