I’ve heard that it’s BT Openreach who keeps pestering you about slow Wi-Fi, attempting to trick you into downloading things. I eventually figured out it was a scam after I contacted BT to verify things. Apparently, there were no recorded calls from them for yesterday. Disconnected my computer just in the nick of time!
