Whenever a company calls you about something, just try typing in some random mix of letters and numbers. If the system accepts it, chances are it’s not legit.

Got two texts from the same number, a couple weeks apart. I don’t get why this number’s still active. How can I find out which company runs it? I want to complain and have them blocked, and also report it to the right people - maybe the UK cops or something?

Got a message from 729724 saying it was from PayPal and that I'd approved a payment for £320.12, which I definitely didn’t. The text tries to scare you into thinking you might have but just ignore it and don’t press any links. These are definitely scams, so be careful!

They tried to get my PayPal info, and it was pretty sneaky because the message actually used my real name, just like something PayPal would send. Felt like a legit phishing attempt.

I got a message, looked legit like it was from PayPal, saying I sent £320.12 to some webact. It asked me to click their link to confirm it. They even almost spelled my name right, which is really creepy! Honestly, this one could fool loads of people.

Just a heads up, the link they sent actually takes you to a dodgy site trying to steal your PayPal login info. Best to just ignore it and block the number right away.
