Got a call from someone pretending to be from my bank asking for my card details. Definitely one of those credit card scam calls. Watch out everyone!

I’m not really sure how they managed to bill my card. I ended up giving them a ring myself. After a chat, they gave me a refund and stopped the service completely. Definitely felt like a bit of a scam.

Beware of this number, it seems linked to a car history service that might be a con. They do something sneaky called bait and switch. I've also seen them use numbers like 855-803-3397, 855-680-3600 and 855-780-1159. The firm often goes by carhistory.online or onlinedatareports.com. I bought a single car report for £1 but ended up being billed for a subscription plan with 24 monthly payments at £23.95 each. This gave access to 25 reports each month, which I never agreed to. After my bank stepped in, they refunded the money. Another related contact number is 855-482-6465. On your card statement, charges might show up as "onlinevinlookup.com".
