Someone rang me up saying I could complete a ‘survey’ and get a £50 voucher for places like Argos, John Lewis, or B&Q. Turns out the ‘survey’ was just a bunch of offers to accept or reject. I kept pressing 2 to say no, but then they told me I wasn’t eligible for the survey. When I rang back hoping to put my number on their Do Not Call list, it just started the same sales pitches again. I kept hitting 2 until a lady finally said I didn’t qualify. I tried to tell her to stop calling, but she just read the same script and then hung up. Another time they rang saying I’d hit my max entries. I checked out their site and signed up to opt out using a dodgy email address but put in my real phone number since they’d already called me.
