Every single day, some guy with an accent rings me up, asking about someone who doesn’t even work here anymore. Feels like a total scam to me.

I asked them how they got my number and all they said was "from a PDF file". At first, they wouldn’t say where the file came from. Then when I asked about the filename, it actually had my real name on it. After pushing again, they kept changing their story - first it was some "in-house data team," then they said "Google." The voice sounded Indian and was really difficult to make out. Weirdly enough, they didn’t hang up even after I kept pressing them with questions.
