When I pressed them on why they needed to know the purpose of my call, I reiterated my request for her number to be deleted. The representative cheekily said, “Oh, so you’re her grandma?” which didn’t sit well with me. I then requested to speak to a manager but was met with a bizarre question about my relationship status. Once more, I asked for a supervisor, only to be met with a threat that if I didn’t cooperate, they would share my granddaughter’s number with a multitude of salespeople.
