12 yearsI got a robotic message supposedly from the IRS saying it was my final warning and they’re suing me. The call said old tax debts from 2008 to 2013 needed paying and that my licence could be taken away. When I phoned back the number 206-569-5685, some guy with an Indian accent answered, sounding like he was in a call centre. He gave me a “case number” and kept threatening me about the licences and payments. I soon figured it was a scam and burst out laughing, telling him they’re pretty good at trying to scare folks but please stop calling me. Instead of stopping, he said they’d keep ringing me.
