I’d advise against picking up calls from numbers you don’t recognise. Just give them the silent treatment; eventually, they'll tire of ringing you without a response. That seems to be the most effective approach!

What an utter nuisance! I’ve repeatedly informed them to stop calling. There’s someone in my household who's very unwell, and their incessant ringing disturbs them from much-needed rest. It’s high time they faced some penalties and were shut down for good.

Air duct cleaning calls are back, yet again! It feels as if the National Do Not Call Registry is absolutely pointless at this stage.
