8 yearsI got a phone call from someone claiming they were with the RCMP, saying they had my details and file. They said I was involved in tax evasion and other stuff, and that I owed around $4000. They warned me I’d be locked up for five years if the money wasn’t paid by a deadline. They even said sheriffs had been searching for me to serve papers, and they read out some affidavit over the phone. They told me to get in touch with my solicitor straight away. When I tried to ask questions, they just shut me down.
