I've received a call of a similar nature... it felt like something straight out of a sci-fi film, the level of automation was quite chilling. When I posed a question, the response was completely off-base. The machine seemed rather insistent about whether we had any pain issues, which raised a few red flags. A legitimate healthcare service would surely clarify where they sourced such sensitive information from and provide clear details about the services being recommended by our GP (even mentioning their name, perhaps). Honestly, it left me feeling rather unsettled and anxious, as it’s hard to shake the feeling that there's something fishy going on behind the scenes!

I find myself in the same boat as many others regarding a rather puzzling call I had the other day. They started off inquiring about chronic pain, but when I pressed for clarification on what the company actually did, they got rather dodgy. It culminated in the caller abruptly hanging up after I mentioned that I suffer from ongoing inflammation in my knee. I also added that my husband’s description of his pain varies quite a bit depending on the audience. It was quite a strange exchange! However, after a bit of sleuthing on dogpile.com, I figured out that PDA stands for the Parenteral Drug Association. Quite the unexpected twist, isn't it?

I received a pre-recorded message inquiring about any ongoing pain you might be experiencing. When I inquired about what PDA stands for, they informed me that only an expert could provide that information and that I would receive a call from one after this initial conversation. I ended up disconnecting the call, as I’ve had quite enough of these calls!

I could barely catch what she was saying - it was all a bit of a blur, but I made out something like “we're calling from Alberta Health Services, and it appears you have some issues with... well, you know, the usual nonsense.” Is that for real? I asked her to repeat herself, and she simply said “I understand” before abruptly cutting me off. Just left me pondering if this was all a dodgy ruse.
