11 yearsAbsolute bunch of crooks. Got totally ripped off by them when I was in Vegas. Honestly, I’d love to get back at them the way they did me. IHG Vacation? What a joke.Las Vegas11 yearsIt seems IHG is handing over our clients’ private info without permission! One of our customers recently stayed at a Holiday Inn in Brooklyn, NY, and our agency’s phone number was on the booking. Now, a marketing company calling from 703-886-9880 won’t even say who they are and wants to get in touch with our client. It’s pretty clear that the details given during a hotel reservation shouldn’t be shared with any outside parties, especially not with some sketchy marketing team trying to pitch holiday clubs or dodgy timeshares. Unfortunately, this appears to be standard practice for IHG and their partners. Honestly, a class action lawsuit might be the only way to put a stop to this. Travel agents, watch out for this trick - IHG is basically stealing your customers’ info and trying to lure them away. It’s a nasty move from IHG, their marketing folks, and the execs who allow this to happen.IHGHoliday InnBrooklynNY11 yearsJust to give an update, I rang the official Orange Lakes office number and found out this number is genuine. They actually have a record of me chatting with them before and signing up for a timeshare, so it wasn’t some dodgy scam at all, just a proper telemarketing call about the timeshare. Glad to know my credit card details weren’t compromised. Definitely a relief!Orange Lakes11 yearsI got a really similar call but from a different number, 571-918-6490. The bloke claimed he was ringing from Orlando, Florida, even though the caller ID showed Leesburg, Virginia. He was pushing the same deal about IHG - four days and three nights for £249. He said I'd get £150 back in cash if I checked in at their resort nearby. Not sure if they were trying to sell resort memberships or timeshares or what. Today, another number, 703-886-9880, gave me a ring but I didn’t pick up. It’s a bit worrying because it feels like hackers might’ve got hold of info from IHG Rewards Club members.OrlandoFloridaLeesburgVirginiaIHGIHG Rewards Club12 yearsGot a call from +7 038 869 880 and I figured it must be coming from overseas or somewhere abroad.13 yearsSomeone rang me pretending to be from IHG (Hilton hotels) trying to get my credit card details. I refused to give them anything and they acted like I was being unreasonable for not trusting them. They already knew my name, phone number, and address, but no other info. The deal was a 4-night stay in some big cities for £249, but I had to pay upfront with only a "verbal receipt" sent afterwards, which felt fishy. They wouldn’t email me anything and kept pushing that it was first come, first served, like I'd lose out if I didn’t agree there and then. It all sounded dodgy, even though they start with a survey to make it seem like a genuine reward. Complete nonsense really.IHGHiltonSubmit Your Own Report (070 3886 9880)
