It’s Thursday, the 20th of April in the year 2017, and I found myself jolted awake at 8:42 AM by an incoming call, which disturbed my wife-thankfully a survivor of cancer-and me. As elderly folks, I've genuinely been contemplating switching off my phone after 10 PM each night, only to reactivate it around 10 AM the following day. I realise this could mean I might miss crucial medical calls, an outcome I dread greatly. This particular nuisance hails from a number in Virginia. I’ve gone ahead and blocked this call, marking it as the 24th one I've had to put on my blocked list. I keep a detailed record of all these interruptions and make it a point to refresh the blocked numbers every month. Just trying to find some peace! DCB

This morning, at 8:57 am on Saturday, I received a call from this number. It jogged my memory as it had previously reached out to my home countless times over the years. While it doesn't happen every day, it's still quite irritating that they persist in trying to get in touch.

They rang me up asking for my name, then abruptly ended the call. A mere quarter of an hour later, they rang again, but as soon as I picked up, they hung up once more. Quite odd behaviour, if you ask me!
