Last night I got a voicemail from a bloke with a really strong accent claiming to be Jason Miller. He said I or my lawyer needed to ring back straight away, or else he could only wish me luck when the police turned up at my door. When I phoned back, they told me they were from the tax office and said I owed money for taxes from 2009 through to 2012. They pressured me, saying if I didn’t pay £1800 in the next 45 minutes, the state police would come knocking and I’d be facing at least 90 days in federal jail. I knew I didn’t owe any tax, but as a mum of three little kids, I started to freak out. Luckily, I called my solicitor and once I gave her the number, she instantly recognised it was a scam. I then checked the number online and sure enough, it was a con!

Got a voicemail from this number, some bloke called Jeson Miller claiming he works for the IRS. Said it's important and that I should ring him back straight away. Bit dodgy if you ask me.

On the 15th of April, I got a call from a machine that said it was a police officer asking me to call back at 703-594-5004. When I rang back, a man answered, "IRS, this is Gary." I mentioned the call I'd just had from that same number, and he only replied with "No info, ma'am." I then asked what I should do about the call, but he just repeated, "No info."

At around 5:31 pm I received a call and the voicemail was just a mumbled message. When I phoned back, the person claimed to be an officer and attempted to give me a badge number, but the call dropped. I tried ringing again but it was just busy. I looked up the number online and it’s linked to a police department near Washington D.C. Whoever this individual or group is, they really need to be stopped. This was the first time I've had a call like this on my mobile. Please do something about it. Cheers.
