Her English is rather impressive, if I may say so. So, when a chap rang her up the other day, she picked up the phone and he launched straight into it with, "Why do you not learn English?" My wife, taken aback, replied with a startled, "Pardon?" To which he retorted again, "Why do you not learn English?" Perturbed, she inquired who he was, and just like that, he ended the call. I happened to be in the car at the time, and it really threw her off. As you can imagine, I was rather fuming too! How dare he speak to my wife like that!
