So, it turned out to be a message from Oxfam, a charity thing. Thing is, they charged me four times! I told EE and they reckon I must’ve sent the text that many times, which I definitely didn’t. Lesson learned though, I won’t be sending charity texts ever again, too risky.

I think this is from Oxfam or one of those well known charities, I sent a text to give some money. The amount gets added to your phone bill, which is probably why people get confused about the number. I texted the word WINTER to that number to send £3. It’s definitely not a scam, just a legit charity text message.

On my Virgin Mobile statement, there was a charge on 4th July at 22:47 for a "Premium text received". The number shown was "700338140" and it wasn’t part of my plan, so I got charged £3.00, which I think is ridiculous. I’m definitely going to ring Virgin Mobile to sort this out. Everyone should save their call logs and double-check any extras they’ve been charged for, especially those calls or texts not covered by your tariff.

I checked my phone bill and saw a text message from 700338140 that cost me £3.00. Weird thing is, I couldn’t find any trace of this text in my phone’s message log.
