So I entered one of those ITV competitions, the one for "Who wants to be a millionaire." You have to pay your usual text charge, which for me was 15p, plus a £2 entry fee. I sent my text to 82223, but later on when I looked at my phone bill, the £2 was actually taken by a number starting with 700044122. Everything seems legit from what I can tell. I noticed a weird charge on my phone bill listed as "text Rec'd £1.667" but I can’t find the number anywhere in my message history. I’m going to get in touch with my provider to find out what’s going on.

I noticed a charge on my bill from 0700044122 listed as "text Rec'd £1.667" but this number never showed up in my message history. I’ve never called it, and there’s no record of any texts from or to that number in my phone. Seems like a mobile number to me but not sure how I got billed for a text I didn’t even send or receive.
