As I had some free time on my hands, I decided to have some fun and started to tease the person on the other end. For instance, I told them I was planning to switch to a Mac computer, to which they responded that the problem was actually with my internet connection. In response, I told them I might consider changing my service provider. This resulted in the person becoming increasingly irritated and claiming that I knew nothing about computers. Our interaction continued in this back-and-forth manner until he finally hung up. Since then, I haven't received any further calls from them.

Eventually, he provided an employee ID number, supposedly #MS78692, and even gave me a work contact number, 1-646-233-2811, where I could reach him at Microsoft Windows to verify his claims. However, I immediately sensed that this was a scam as he requested that I read out my computer's IP Address and Microsoft Number while we were talking, insisting that I have the computer right in front of me. It became quite evident to me that this was a fraudulent situation.
