I kept getting calls from this number, asking me to provide proof of income and a valid ID. So I decided to double check with my BDO branch, and they said this number has no link to them at all. Quite suspicious if you ask me!

Today I got a call from someone claiming to be from BDO. She asked me to email two forms of ID and my birth certificate, saying it was needed to send me an Amex credit card. Felt a bit fishy to me, not sure if it’s legit.

My phone started ringing and I quickly went to answer it. Just as I was about to press the pick-up button, I noticed the number was unfamiliar. Luckily, my CM Security app popped up a warning saying it’s linked to sales calls. I chose to ignore it and looked the number up on Google. Turns out, it could be a scam or something dodgy.

Some bloke rang me claiming he was from BDO, trying to push a credit limit increase. I cut him off straight away, telling him it sounded dodgy and was probably a scam. Then he just ended the call.
