What a nightmare! This week my phone’s been flooded with ads from some dodgy virus. Then next thing I know, Pizza Hut’s some big corporate mess starts spamming me nonstop. Every time I ring them, it’s this bloke with a terrible accent answering. But then, last time I got a woman instead. I called them out on it and now they say they're sending me an email. They claim to be connected to Gmail, some cloud service and payment stuff. The guy's name is Daniel Tran from Anaheim, CA. Just sick and tired of all this rubbish.

Somebody rang saying I’d linked a card to my Google Pay, but that’s not true at all.

This number rang me and pretended to be from Google. They wanted me to log into Google Pay to verify my email or something. Didn’t feel right at all, so I just ended the call.

So, some bloke told me there was nothing they could do since someone else had ordered a new Pixel 4 128GB (costing 999 USD) from the Google Store using my account. At that point, the order hadn’t even been processed or packed. Then they handed me over to another person. All in all, I spent about 66 minutes on the phone, with 50 of those stuck on hold.
In the end, they never cancelled the delivery and ended up charging me -1095 USD on my account.
And yep, this was supposedly Google Customer Support.

I used the section in my Google account to request a callback from a Google specialist. After waiting for about 15 minutes I decided to hang up. The person on the line initially asked me to hold. A bit later, they came back and asked what my issue was. They mentioned they were from Google One but couldn’t assist me and asked me to stay on hold while they reached out to a different department that might help. Later on, the same person returned and asked about the brand of my computer. When I answered, they said they would transfer me to the team dealing with that brand and put me on hold again. Eventually, they came back and started talking a lot without getting anywhere. I told them I’d been waiting for 15 minutes with no progress. They then asked if I was in the UK, and when I asked where they were, they said the Philippines. I’m not sure if it was a scam, but since I initially contacted via Google, it all felt a bit off throughout the whole thing.
