12 yearsI received a call on my landline from a number that’s supposedly registered on both the state and federal do-not-call lists. The automated message from 562-628-9380 claimed to be from 'credit card services' and insisted that while my account was perfectly fine, there’s a chance they could reduce my interest rate. They prompted me to press a sequence of numbers to speak to someone or to opt out of further calls. Oddly enough, after a moment of silence, the call just dropped. When I tried to ring them back at the same number, a recorded voice from “care on site” greeted me, offering a range of button presses.
