10 yearsSome bloke called me claiming to be from the IRS and threatened I'd get arrested if I couldn't verify my identity. He said there’s a court case against me, supposedly served three months ago, but I ignored it. When I asked for proof they were legit before handing out any info, he snapped back with, “We don’t need to prove who we are, you’ve got to prove who you are to us.” They also claimed the summons was sent to my business address, and when I asked why it wasn’t sent to my official home address registered with the IRS, he just shouted, "Fine then, you’ll be arrested," and abruptly ended the call. Total scam, avoid it!IRS10 yearsGot a call from a number claiming to be the sheriff’s office saying I’m facing 4 serious charges and they’re coming to arrest me. The voice was obviously a robot and the sentences didn’t even make sense properly. Seems like the same scam as when they pretend to be the IRS threatening to arrest you if you don’t call back.
