I was genuinely petrified when I forked out £300 on Friday, 28th March 2014. Then, the very next day, I got a dodgy call threatening me with a demand for an additional £500 or else I'd end up in jail! Thinking I must be daft, I rang my accountant to make sense of it all. I'm absolutely livid and am planning to inform both the police and HMRC about this nonsense. Please, take care and stay alert!

On the 18th of March, 2014, at around 11:01 am EST, I received multiple calls from a woman with an Indian accent. She claimed to represent the US Treasury and was quite persistent in urging my wife to return her call, hinting at some consequences if she didn’t. We've managed to capture one of her messages on our answering machine as proof of these strange attempts to contact us.

I received a rather alarming phone call from a gentleman speaking with an Indian accent, stating he was representing the US Treasury. He was insisting I owed back taxes from 2008 and went on to threaten that if I didn’t settle it immediately, a bench warrant for my arrest would be issued. This conversation took place on 17th March 2014 at precisely 12:45. Quite distressing, to say the least!

I received a rather amusing call from her as well! Claimed to represent the United States government and insisted I was facing serious legal issues. Quite a laugh, isn't it? Wishing everyone a lovely day! I wonder how many vulnerable folks she’s frightened with this nonsense? A lovely day, indeed? I shall pray she encounters a rather lengthy stay behind bars!

Last evening, we were bombarded with a couple of calls from a lady sporting a heavy Indian accent, claiming to represent the US Treasury. She warned us that this was to be their last attempt to reach us, threatening that if we didn’t return the call within an hour, a warrant would be issued for our arrest. Curiously, she wrapped up the conversation with a rather odd, “Have a blessed day!” Intrigued, we dialled the number she provided, only to encounter a voicemail belonging to someone named David Richie, who purportedly works for the U.S. Treasury. This led us to scour the internet, where we stumbled upon numerous warnings from others who had received similar calls, confirming it was indeed a scam. A quick visit to the IRS website further validated our distrust, as they had flagged this scheme as fraudulent. Consequently, we've lodged a complaint with the FTC. One can only hope that these con artists are apprehended and face the consequences of their deceitful actions!

Received a call from someone purporting to be from the U.S. Treasury. Naturally, I reached out to Congressman John Garamendi and my solicitor for advice. This clearly appears to be a scam. The proper authorities have been alerted and are looking into it, and I've also notified the FBI.
