However, I declined his request and instead asked for a contact number where I could reach him later for assistance. Surprisingly, he abruptly ended the call at that point. It's crucial to exercise utmost caution and avoid granting this person access to your computer. It is evident that he is up to no good.

I had a similar experience recently. Someone claiming to be from Microsoft called me, saying there was an issue with my computer. I immediately knew it was a scam, since I use a Mac instead of a PC. I informed him that his claim didn't make sense, but he insisted that Mac laptops also faced the same virus detection problems as PCs. It was ridiculous! He went on a spiel about viruses allegedly "eating up" all my drivers. I chuckled and informed him that I had just gotten my computer repaired by a professional. This seemed to upset him, and he sarcastically asked me if it was done by a local person instead of Apple. He tried to act smarter than he actually was...

Suspiciously, the caller urged me to access my computer so that they could assist me with Microsoft drivers. They requested detailed information about my system, which raised concerns. Despite my repeated inquiries regarding their true intentions, they continued to insist that they were affiliated with Microsoft partners. As I refused to provide any information, they later inquired about the key adjacent to my control (Ctrl) key. Eventually, realizing that I wasn't going to cooperate, the caller abruptly ended the conversation. In their final attempt, they sought to confirm my first name by specifically requesting it.
