My landline just got a ring from this number. I never answer calls from unknown numbers just to be safe, so I checked online and turns out it's definitely a scammer.

Just got this dodgy call too and decided to say I was a cop and that they were tracking the call. You shoulda heard the quiet on the other end before he suddenly hung up! Proper funny!

Got a call from someone in India pretending to be from Microsoft. My computer was actually turned off, but I played along for about 10 minutes before they started pushing for my personal info. They got me to check a key near the control button to prove if I was using a PC or a Mac. Then, they made me open the event viewer through the run box so I could see all the scary errors. Next, they told me to download TeamViewer through a link they gave via the run prompt. Finally, they wanted my TeamViewer ID and password so they could connect remotely. Once they have that, they can pretty much do whatever they want on your machine.

Got a call earlier from this number, some bloke pretending to be from Microsoft saying my PC was infected with a virus. Wanted me to turn it on so he could "help" me sort it out. I told him I knew it was a scam and wasn’t gonna play along. After that, he started swearing and being proper rude. Ended the call quick sharp. Really makes you wonder why they can’t just find out who’s paying for this number, huh?

Seems like the 01207 numbers are on their hitlist. We've been noticing a bunch of calls hitting our work phones one after another from that set.

Got a call around 1.15pm today from a bloke with an Indian accent who spoke really badly, said he was from Microsoft and needed to sort out a virus on my PC. I pretended to go along with it for a bit, but as soon as I mentioned I was actually at a police station here in England, he just hung up on me.

So today at my job, the boss got a call from someone saying they were from Microsoft. He found it a bit confusing but ended up giving them his personal phone number, probably because he was in a hurry to get to a meeting. Half an hour later, I got a ring from that very same number. I was expecting it but all I could hear was background chatter from a call centre before they hung up. Meanwhile, a mate at work has that number saved too, even though she’s not around right now. In just one hour, we got at least three calls from this scam using different numbers on our site. Proper dodgy.

Got a call a moment ago from this number, the bloke claimed to be from Microsoft and told me to start up my PC. I stopped right there and ended the call. It's crazy how they manage to get hold of our phone numbers!

Yesterday, this number rang me but I didn’t answer. After checking this website, I figured maybe they’d try again, and sure enough, I got a call just a short while ago. As soon as I answered, I launched into my usual line: “Hi there, thanks for calling. Just a quick note, our calls may be recorded for training.” But before I could continue, they ended the call. Bit of a letdown since I’d practiced it so well, but hey, at least I managed to make them hang up!

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be American but sounded Indian. First he said he was from Microsoft, then suddenly switched to Apple. When I asked him about the virus, he just said "trojan". I asked him three times what the exact name of the trojan was and each time he just hung up, saying someone else would call me back. Had two of these dodgy calls within a couple of hours, and mind you, my number isn’t even listed anywhere!

LOL, these muppets called me today and I decided to play along since I was bored. When the caller said, "Can you turn on your computer?" I just snapped back with, "You seriously think I’m that daft? Get lost." After that, he just mouthed off with a swear and hung up. Honestly, that gave me a good laugh and made the day less dull!

Got a call from this number back on 9th May 2016. The guy claimed he was ringing from the US, saying there was something wrong with our computer and that we'd been alerted about it five weeks earlier. I told him to not bother calling here again.

Got a call this morning, 6th May 2016, around 11:17am GMT, from a bloke speaking with an Indian accent. He said he was from Microsoft Windows and claimed my PC had some kind of issue. I denied it and just hung up on him. Later, I checked the number through BT's 1471 service and saw it was 001509 488 4473.
