Today I've had about six calls from the 501 code, most recently just now at 9:30 at night. They ring once or twice then hang up straight away. I keep blocking the numbers but they just keep coming from new ones. It's really annoying!

I didn’t pick up since I’ve never come across a +501 number before. Like others have said, I just ignore calls from unknown numbers or ones that show as ‘withheld’. Hopefully if they don’t get through, they’ll give up at some point (though probably wishful thinking!).

Typical dodgy Microsoft scammers again. The caller ID might show up as 00501 or just 0501. The same lot from Pakistan use 0401 or 00401 too. Just tell em to jog on and block their scammy numbers for good.
