‭7297 25‬ shows up as PayPal but it's definitely a scam, dont click the link! It goes around loads. If youre not sure, just log in to PayPal the usual way and check straight with them.

Got a call from a number claiming to be PayPal. I was about to click the link in the message but spotted the website link looked fishy, it wasnt just 'paypal' like it should be. Nearly got caught out!

Got a text from PayPal sayin we paid somethin, and if we hadn’t, click the link. Turns out it takes you to a fake PayPal site, and if you log in, they nick your info. Watch out, folks. If you’re ever unsure about messages or calls like that, best to get in touch with the company or your bank directly.

Got the same text supposedly from "PayPal". I figured it was dodgy straight away, but just to be safe I logged into the actual PayPal site to see if anything was wrong with my account. Seems like trying to contact PayPal for help is pretty pointless, their support’s not very helpful, so I’m not wasting any time. If anyone clicked the link in that message and entered info, I’d seriously recommend you log into your PayPal right away and change your password. Even better, switch on 2 factor authentication so it asks for a code as well as your password next time you log in.

This scam felt really dodgy, they actually called me using my full name and, like others here, I’m curious how they managed to find my info. I’m not with TalkTalk either, just to clarify. PayPal normally says scammers won’t ever use your full name, so this was pretty suspicious.

The caller ID showed PayPal instead of a number. I got really anxious since they started by saying my full name, which usually helps tell real PayPal emails from fakes. I’m still on the phone with PayPal trying to figure out how these scammers even got my details!

For the person asking for help, just head over to paypal.com and sign in. After that, hit the gear symbol at the top right to open your settings, then pick "security" from the blue tabs above to update your password. Next, scroll down and choose "help and contact," then click on the "call us" option to get in touch with PayPal and sort out anything else you need to.

Got the exact same message today. Tried to log in but totally forgot my password, so I clicked the link. It just kept taking me back to the same page though. Then I went to the actual site and tried changing my password, but since I hadn’t updated my contact details, it still wanted to send the code to my old phone number! That’s when I realised it was a scam! Watch out everyone!!!

Got the same text this morning and honestly, it had me worried for a bit. I rushed to log into my Paypal account but didn’t see anything unusual. Everything looked fine, no dodgy payments or anything. Then I decided to look up the number +44 7297 24 and boom! This site had it listed. Really thankful for that. Cheers!

I got a similar text but no phone number showed, just said 'PayPal' at the top. I emailed PayPal to check if it was a scam, but so far all they've done is reply saying they got my message with a bunch of links to click on. I wish they'd just give a clear yes or no answer. I reckon it’s a scam, so DO NOT tap the link, report it to PayPal immediately.

Got a message from "PayPal" that used my family name sayin I'd paid 320.12 GBP to some WebAct. It said to follow a link if I hadn’t made the payment. I tried the link, but it was blocked. Looked into my PayPal accounts and there’s no sign of anything like that. Tried calling PayPal, been stuck waiting for nearly an hour! So, I contacted my bank straight away instead. Best just to delete the message and block the sender!

Got a text saying I'd just paid £320.12 from my Paypal to some WebAct and if I didn’t confirm it, I had to click on [#]tr.im?GNdek to stop the payment. The link took me to a Paypal login page that looked super real. Luckily, McAfee web security stopped me from going any further, as it flagged it as unsafe. I’m blocking the number on my phone now. Been trying to get through to Paypal for over half an hour, stuck on hold with some annoying electronic tune, and still no one’s picked up.

this number is really sketchy, just got a message from +48729724 saying it was paypal who sent it. the text said i made a payment of £320.12 to some webact thing. if i didn’t do it, i should click a link to cancel, but when i checked my paypal account, there was nothing there so i couldn’t cancel anything. dont save or answer this number, its dodgy.
