I didnt answer the phone cause it was a UK number and I wasnt expecting anyone from there. Thought I'd check the number online before picking up. Later on, a woman left a voicemail just saying “Hello” a couple of times. After hearing some of the negative stories from others, I reckon it’s best to avoid answering calls like this!

I recently had an encounter with a rather dubious caller. This individual claims to represent Microsoft, peddling some nonsense about a virus threat-total nonsense, if you ask me! In fact, I experienced a bit of a baffling moment myself; I picked up the phone only to be met with silence, and the caller promptly disconnected. Initially, I assumed it was merely a wrong number or a fluke, but then they made another attempt to reach me. Quite the cheek, if you ask me!

I got a call on 30 June 2016 around 1:27 pm, but I couldn’t pick up in time and it just ended. Later, I checked this website and realised it was probably a rubbish attempt at social engineering. If folks are gonna try to scam info from people, they should at least try a bit harder, you know?

Somebody rang claiming they were from "Microsoft tech support," but it was obviously a dodgy scam. I just played along for maybe twenty minutes, acting like I couldn’t work out which computer they were talking about since I was actually just cleaning in a bank at the time. I also pretended my English wasn’t great. Had nothing better to do and found it a bit funny seeing them get more and more annoyed.

For a few days, I kept getting calls from this number, so I decided to look them up and found this thread with similar stories. I figured I’d have a bit of fun and waste their time. I pretended to be clueless about what they wanted, and they said they were from some ‘Windows office,’ not the real Windows, telling me to start my computer because supposedly we were linked up. When I asked how that was possible, they couldn’t come up with any proper explanation or a decent lie. What a load of rubbish from those guys!

This number rang me up earlier today. The guy spoke English, claimed he was from Microsoft and said they were monitoring me because my computer supposedly had a big virus problem. He told me he could fix it if I gave him access to my PC. The funny thing is, I don’t even use Microsoft! I just ended the call straight away. I’m pretty sure I’d notice if my computer was actually infected with something serious.

this number rang me up the other day, right? bloke didn’t bother saying who he was or where he was calling from. he claimed loads of emails were sent from my email address and told me to get on my computer so he could instruct me what to do next. said there was some sort of virus on it. i asked him which email address he supposedly got these emails from, but he couldn’t give me a straight answer. said i wasn’t on the computer when he called. then he wondered if he could ring back in about an hour. i told him i wouldn’t be around, and then he just hung up. i'm from norway too.

some guy phoned me, spoke in really broken english and kept stammering "hello, you speak little english?" i said no and just ended the call. then this moron rings back shouting "do you know who I am? I’m your father!" what a tw@t. after he hung up my little daughter had picked up and she got proper frightened. honestly, block this idiot right away!
