This month I’ve had 4 charges of £1.50 each taken from my account. I got in touch with Virgin about it, and they said to send 'stop' to 44700035505, but when I tried, the message wouldn’t go through, kept saying NOT DELIVERED. There’s been nothing said about giving my money back either. Feels like a dodgy scam to me, really annoyed about the whole thing.

Beware of the number 44700035505 - it’s definitely a scam. I’ve told Virgin Media about it, but they haven’t done anything, even though they’ve been charging me for premium texts linked to calls I never made or got. I’ve stopped my direct debit for now, and will only put it back on once Virgin Media sorts this out and pays me back for the charges from this number. This is outright fraud, and Virgin Media seem to be involved in it somehow.

Ive never had any calls or texts from the number 44700035505 on my phone. My network, Virgin Mobile, looked into it and found that they have been charging people for calls from this number, which seems like a total scam. I’ve personally never messaged or answered anything from it, yet Virgin still seems to be billing customers for these calls. This number really needs to be blocked asap.

It's strange but every month for half a year now, my son's phone gets these two annoying premium texts out the blue, always popping up around the 13th or 14th. This number is definitely a rip off, charging you £1.50 for a 'premium message' that doesn’t actually show up on your phone anywhere. I spotted it straight away and reported it. Virgin Media have certain procedures, they might tell you to text 'Stop' to them, but don’t just go along with it. Make it clear it’s fraudulent, tell them you never got any messages and demand your money back. Also, ask them to block the number on their end. I checked on Action Fraud and apparently these ghost premium texts can sometimes come from apps you’ve installed not long ago.

This number keeps ringing me and I haven't got a clue who it is. I'm with Virgin Mobile and I've reported this annoying number several times over the last few months, but they still haven’t done anything to block it. It's really frustrating for me and others dealing with the same problem. I've even stopped my direct debit payment until Virgin Mobile sort this mess out. Honestly, Virgin Media should be doing more to shield their customers from these sorts of scam calls.

This phone belongs to my dad who is quite elderly. He's got no idea about any messages from this number but saw a surprise £40 charge on his bill. I got in touch with Virgin, but they weren't much help, just saying they could put a spending limit on the account. Apparently, they can't actually block the number, so he’d still risk being charged up to £5 a month. I’ve seen Virgin mentioned quite a bit on here too.
