I’m unable to see the texts but something about it just seems really dodgy.

That SMS setup from Lebara is totally legit, no doubt about it.

Got a text from Lebara mobile just now saying my monthly plan got renewed. They send this message every month without fail. Also, it’s handy coz you can add more airtime if you run out of your original bundle.

i got a call about some free stuff, but honestly, i couldn't tell if it was legit or just a scam.

Just got a weird text asking if I needed airtime urgently, and said I could get a £1 advance for a 20p charge. It also told me to text 'auto' if I wanted it automatically and to send 'endec' to 38885 to stop it. Feels like a spam message to me!

Got a random text from 38885 out of nowhere, offering some sort of “air time” but wanted me to pay for it. Never asked for it or anything!

So, I found out that 38885 is a code automatically sent from Lebara when they’re giving you some bonus credit, in case you’re running low. I wouldn’t say you have to use it, but it’s completely harmless. Just thought I’d share in case anyone’s curious!

If you want airtime quickly, just text GBP to get a £1 loan, but there's a 20p charge. For an automatic top-up, send AUTO. To stop receiving these messages, text ENDEC to 38885.

Just got a message saying I've used up my 50mb free data allowance. Apparently, pay-as-you-go data is now 9p per mb or something, or I can purchase one of their plans. There's a weird link too [#Jg00.gl/swf7gq]. Honestly, no clue what it’s meant to be, but it feels dodgy to me.

Want some airtime quick? Just text GBP to get a £1 credit immediately, but there’s a 20p charge. For an instant top-up every time, send 'AUTO'. If you don’t want these anymore, just text 'ENDec' to 38885 to stop.

I just got a text from 38885 sayin they've taken £2.00 off my mate's Lebara account for some airtime advance or something. Cheers for the heads up!

At 1 in the morning my UK Plus Pass is set to automatically renew, and it says I need £10 in my pay-as-you-go balance. I honestly don't know what any of this means, but I have a feeling the number to cancel might be some sort of scam.
