SCAM ALERT - got a call on my landline from someone claiming to be from BT saying a third party was messing with my IP address. They gave me two choices: either disconnect to sort it or talk it through.
The bloke had a thick Indian accent which I couldn’t make out properly, so I told him to ring me back on my mobile. Then he wanted me to punch in some commands to supposedly track the problem.
I flat out refused (a bit bluntly) and made sure to report it to BT.
