I rang the number (402) 938-3614, which is the proper PayPal Resolution/Dispute line, to report it rather than calling the dodgy number on the invoice itself +1-347-989-2908. The invoice claimed a purchase of $899 from Springfield Armory Inc. I also phoned Springfield Armory’s accounting team on (800) 680-6866, and they confirmed they know of this scam. Apparently, it’s been happening for about a year now, and the phone and email on the fake invoice don’t match the real ones.
