A chap of Asian descent rang me up, his English a bit choppy, claiming to be from the federal government. He proceeded to inform me that I was eligible for a £9,000 grant, which I could collect immediately from Walmart or have deposited straight into my bank or via MoneyGram. He then instructed me to call another number, mentioning that if I gave him a specific ID code, I’d be able to retrieve my funds at Walmart. All they seemed to require was an ID and a deposit of £200... I couldn’t help but laugh and promptly ended the call. Complete nonsense!

Received a couple of calls within half an hour. They hung up on me the first time, and when I answered the second time and shouted ‘Hello’, the numpty had the cheek to ask why I was raising my voice! What happened to the National Do Not Call Register? It's all a bit ridiculous, really.

Dodgy scammer for sure. Just wouldn’t engage at all. I could hear kids shrieking in the background. Every time I attempted to greet them, it was met with silence.
