Just got one of those fake IRS calls again, total scam!

Someone called me claiming to be Esther Rose from the IRS investigation team, but her accent sounded totally fake. She left a voicemail with some weird music playing, and she kept messing up her script and repeating herself a bit. This isn’t the first time though, I’ve gotten calls like this over the last few months from different numbers all starting with 347, sometimes a mobile, sometimes a Skype line. It’s really frustrating! Definitely a scam, so best to ignore and don’t bother calling back.

Got a call from someone in India pretending to be the IRS. They had my full name which was pretty creepy. Looked up IRS scams on Google and found the official warnings on irs.gov about these phishing attempts. Best advice? Don’t answer and definitely don’t ring back.
