This number has called me a few times saying that i’m due an £800 refund from my bank. I never shared any bank info with them of course. Today, i decided to play along and said i’d already got the money, just to test it out. The call didn’t end straight away and i heard someone muttering "back off" faintly in the background. After a short pause, i put the phone down. Fingers crossed i won’t get more calls from them, but who can tell?

I got a call from someone claiming there was £800 in my account but didn't say who they were. They asked for my birthday and bank details, but I said I don't know you, who even are you? Then they just went quiet and hung up. I've fallen for scams before, but not this time! Be careful, don’t let this happen to you!

Got a ring from +0013472428290 the other day. The bloke had a strong Indian accent and said something about my bank account. I think 00 is the exit code for calling abroad to India or somewhere nearby. I've already signed up with the phone preference service, so not sure why they bothered.
