I keep receiving calls from this number on my mobile, and my Telus service has marked it as a Potential Scam. I picked up the phone just once, only for the caller to hang up immediately. In the course of a week, this number has bothered me no less than four times. I've gone ahead and blocked it now.

It was quite evident that the chap was keen on getting me to confirm with a "yes"...
He started off with, "Could I have a word with Barbara?"
To which I replied, "That's me, speaking."
He then asked, "Is this Barbara?"
I affirmed, "Indeed, this is Barbara."
He continued with, "Are you Barbara?"
I reassured him, "Yes, I am."
And just like that, he disconnected.
