I had these clowns on the phone for a good 45 minutes, managing to string them along while setting up a payment plan. I've even recorded the whole conversation and find myself replaying it time and again. I went as far as telling them I could sort them out with Amazon vouchers to settle my tax dues. Honestly, they ought to stick to what they know best - like long-distance lorry driving, playing cricket, or cultivating their facial hair. Absolute muppets! HAHAHAHA!

It reminds me of a prior encounter with a chap named Jonathan Knight-though that was from a different number, the scam was eerily similar. His spiel had a much more menacing tone. I've had the identical experience as many others here-absolute con artistry! It's a well-known fact that the CRA wouldn't resort to automated calls for any sort of inquiry. I highly recommend reporting this to your local police's fraud division and promptly blocking the number!

I received three calls on 30th September 2016 concerning alleged tax fraud from this number, purportedly from Florida. However, I have no ties whatsoever to that state. I had a similar experience and decided to ring that number back on a couple of occasions - not the one they advised for further assistance, mind you. It merely connected me to a raucous call centre, and an actual individual picked up, replete with a distinct accent. The first time, I informed the lady that she was most certainly NOT representing the CRA and insisted they refrain from calling again, requesting to be taken off whatever list they were using. She promptly cut the call. On my second attempt, a man with a thick accent responded. I reiterated my point, and he retorted by demanding proof that they were not the agency I claimed. I simply stated, “You aren’t the Canada Revenue Agency,” and to my utter disbelief, he cheekily replied, “I love you too.” What on earth? Then he too disconnected the call. They’ve rung yet again, and I’ve finally had enough, so I’ve unplugged our landline altogether.

On the 22nd of September, 2016, at precisely 2:43 in the afternoon, I received a rather concerning automated message regarding fraud. I decided to ring the number back, only to be put on hold for what felt like an eternity-20 minutes, to be exact-before I eventually gave up and ended the call. Later that same day, at around 7:45 in the evening, I was graced with yet another call, but this time, the number was obscured on my phone. The individual on the other end claimed to be from my bank and asked if I was interested in purchasing insurance for my credit card. I found this quite suspicious, especially when I quizzed her about how she obtained my number and she was unable to provide a satisfactory answer. Thus, I chose to terminate the conversation.
