I just got a call from that number too, but I decided to ignore it and send it to voicemail. When I listened to the message later on, it seemed like it had already begun before I tuned in. It’s clearly a SCAM. Best to block that number!

Received a call from a bloke claiming the taxman has put out a warrant for my arrest and that my home is under surveillance. I’m only 22, so I can’t quite fathom who they think they’re aiming at, but it’s definitely a dodge.

I received a call on my mobile the other day, and the voicemail was quite alarming. It claimed that the HMRC had issued a warrant for my arrest and urged me to ring them back. They even mentioned that they were monitoring my home address! At the age of 65, I can’t help but think this might be a ploy to target the elderly.
