Received a call from someone who identified themselves as Kym Lee, supposedly from merchant support. They were keen to discuss updates regarding a credit subsidy. The questions they posed seemed rather directed, focusing on our credit card arrangement.

When an unfamiliar number pops up, I always let it go to voicemail first. If they hang up, it’s a fair bet it's a dodgy call. Your report seems to back that up. I’ll be sure to add it to my landline’s block list now.

I had a rather amiable conversation with a woman regarding some shares and a company's takeover. Unfortunately, I missed a few crucial bits of information due to some interference on the line at a pivotal point. I did have a sound justification for recommending that she write to me, but before I could explain, the call abruptly cut off.

I received a rather dubious communication from someone asserting they represent a client eager to acquire a significant stake in Lloyds Bank-specifically, aiming for a 51% shareholding in order to instigate a takeover. It’s quite evident this is a scam!

I was hoping to get my hands on an email address regarding the BT acquisition, but they didn’t provide one.

I'm in the process of acquiring shares in BT, anticipating a takeover bid. It seems they either had an inkling I had some shares or were rather clever in their assumptions. Just received a communication stating I must fork out a portion of a bond, which is likely the cunning angle of this con and how they'll siphon off my funds.

I've received calls from some dodgy characters claiming to represent Omnicom, which is a legitimate firm, mind you. They’re saying they want to purchase shares in Aviva at prices that are way above the market value for some hostile takeover scheme. Apparently, they want me to keep it hush-hush and even sign a non-disclosure agreement! Like that’s going to happen! We ought to spread the word and warn everyone about these fraudsters.

Seems like I've stumbled upon a dodgy BT takeover scam. Rather unfriendly, if you ask me.

I've recently had a rather dodgy individual reach out to me, claiming they're keen on buying out the company whose shares I invest in. They’re parading a hefty premium on the current share price, which feels rather fishy. I’d be very cautious; these types can be quite sinister.

Is the National Grid facing a hostile takeover, or is it all just a ruse?

This appears to be a likely scam designed to entice you into selling your shares at enticingly high prices. However, the catch is you’re required to pay a percentage bond in advance. It’s quite an elaborate ruse, if I may say so.
