I've had a rather dodgy encounter with individuals purporting to be from Microsoft. The longer the conversation went on, the more insistent they became about wanting my banking details, even urging me to log into my online banking while they were still on the line. Not surprisingly, they all seemed to have foreign accents. It felt incredibly suspicious, especially when they talked about installing spyware on my machine, only for it to freeze up and prompt me to ring Microsoft to resolve the issue. Quite the scam, if you ask me!
