Got a message from the same scammer again. They rang me from a 705 number. Looks like they’re calling from a payphone and trying to get you to accept collect calls. Worth checking if they actually try to bill you for it... Oh and just a heads up... Revenue Canada won’t ring you out of the blue. They need proof that you’ve received their message first. So watch out for these fraudsters. Don’t hand over any details like your phone or name. The tax folks always send letters in the post first, then you can ring them back if needed.

My answering machine got a message from them too, but they never mentioned the reason for any legal steps.

I got a call about some tax evasion thing, said my solicitor needs to ring them right away or I’d be facing court. Proper scary, but sounded dodgy to me.
