I wonder who’s on the other end of this call. Anyone know?

When I answer the phone, all I hear is ringing on the other end, and even when they leave a voicemail, it’s just the same ringing sound. This clearly indicates that it’s some sort of automated call; it feels like I’ve been plucked from a list by a machine. A bloke eventually comes on, but his name and the company he represents are a mystery to me. He introduces himself as (his name) from (partners and...) but the rest is completely lost on me. Quite puzzling, really!

For the past couple of months, I've been inundated with calls from this particular number, and it's becoming quite unbearable. On the first couple of occasions, I picked up only to find silence on the other end. Now, I’ve simply stopped answering altogether. The moment my voicemail kicks in, they hang up. It's maddening how persistent they are! Does anyone have any advice on how to put an end to this incessant nuisance?

I received a barrage of calls from this number-eight times in total! I picked up on the first and third calls, but the line was oddly silent. After the third attempt, I decided to mute my phone. Can anyone shed some light on who this might be?
