At some point, you must have given someone the green light to utilise your number for promotional purposes. The next time they ring, don’t bother to engage with their pitch. Simply state, in a firm tone, that they’ve never had your authorisation to contact you and insist that your number be taken off their marketing roster and that they do not call again. After that, just cut the call. I assure you, they won’t bother you again. Just be sure to communicate your wishes very clearly!
