Scam number tried to reach me earlier; I didn’t respond. I’ve no intention of answering again, and I reckon I’ll just block the number altogether.

I've been inundated with these pesky scam robocalls for months on end, all peddling the same tedious message about winning something ridiculous. It’s infuriating! Every time I pick up, I end up using my limited airtime, which has led me to stop answering calls from numbers I don't recognise-especially those with odd area codes. It's been a right nuisance, as they seem to come from a whole range of different numbers.
From what I've gathered, these dubious political robocalls seem to originate from some sort of online calling service that allows them to disguise their Caller ID and either instantaneously dial a list of numbers or methodically tick off numbers sequentially until they hit someone who answers. I've signed my numbers up to the Do Not Call registry, but that’s done next to nothing to deter these scammers. Thankfully, I rarely get promotional calls from legitimate companies, so it’s just these con artists that keep on bothering me!

I received a call from this number, but they hung up just as I was engaged in another conversation. Quite frustrating, really!

I've received several calls from this particular number, and it’s becoming quite irritating. A robotic voice introduces itself as "Amy," but I don’t bother to hear the rest. Instead, I simply append a few zeros to my number in hopes of scrambling it in their database. Unfortunately, despite my efforts, nothing has changed so far!

I've signed up with the Government of Canada's Do Not Call registry to fend off those pesky telemarketing calls. It's quite vexing that these cunning scammers, operating from overseas call centres, keep targeting Canadian numbers with their dodgy offers. For instance, my sister received an enticing offer for a 'free holiday.' Turns out, though, they didn’t cover the airfare! By the time she sorted her flight and all the sneaky taxes, it ended up costing her more than simply booking a comprehensive package deal that included the flights to the very same hotel! One thing to be mindful of is that once you've booked something with a credit card, you're pretty much stuck - no modifications allowed. Kiss your cash goodbye, as the credit card providers are notoriously unhelpful in such matters. My advice? Either block that number completely or let it ring without picking up. Stay vigilant!

Hello everyone! I recently dispatched some mail through Canada Post and included my new phone number. My mates weren't aware of it at all. However, once it reached Ottawa, I received a call from this particular number. Has anyone else experienced something similar? Just curious!

I've been receiving calls from this number too. I tend to ignore any calls from unknown sources or unfamiliar voices. If it's something serious, I'm certain they'll drop a message. If not, then they can just jog on!

I received a call from the number +12893012260, and when I answered, there was complete silence on the other end. Is this some sort of scam aimed at siphoning money from my phone? Can anyone shed some light on this?
