What I received was a rather jarring recorded message, the initial part of which was missing because it had clearly started playing before my voicemail message had fully finished. From what I could gather, the caller claimed they’d been attempting to reach me for a staggering six months and, due to my alleged lack of response, they accused me of committing outright fraud and mentioned that they'd reportedly initiated legal action against me. Naturally, I was quite taken aback by this, but then I came across a post where someone else had received a similar call purporting to be from the IRS. I'm well aware that the IRS doesn’t operate in such a manner, so it’s clearly a scam.
