I keep getting calls from a number I don't recognise, and it's becoming rather tiresome.

I’ve been inundated with calls from this number, persistently ringing me time and again, claiming to represent Med Alert. Despite my repeated requests for them to remove me from their list, they keep pestering me. The most recent interruption was a mere 15 minutes ago (28/04/2017 at 16:35). The chap on the end of the line, who introduced himself as John from Med Alert, mentioned he was on a recorded call. I cheekily replied, "Well, I’m pleased it’s recorded. Do you happen to have my number?" aiming to press the issue of my removal from their contacts. To my surprise, he abruptly cut the call. It seems he was well aware that his calls were unwelcome and likely breaking the rules, yet he persisted until I spoke up. This number is beyond intrusive and utterly vexing. When I attempted to return the call, predictably, it was an invalid number. It would be great if something could be done to put a stop to their shenanigans and impose penalties on them.
